Hatchet 3: Hatchet 3 Horror Film is the third installment of the Hatchet film series. It follows Victor Crowley's murderous rampage through Louisiana's Honey Island Swamp. The film features Kane Hodder as Victor Crowley, Brian Quinn as Deputy Winslow as well as Rileah Vanderbilt as Misty.



Its practical special effects are the film's biggest strengths. In contrast to many contemporary horror films which heavily rely on CG effects, Hatchet 3 features mostly practical makeup effect and sets--resulting in some truly horrific moments throughout the film.

The cast delivers a strong performance, with Kane Hodder being the most intimidating villain. The dialogue is funny and clever enough to make it feel like an 80s slasher film. There are also moments of humor throughout the movie that add humor to all the bloody action.

Unfortunately, due to the limited budget (reportedly just $1 million) most of the locations are repeats from previous films in the series--the same boat house was used two times within (click now to see vlogs) the movie and much of it feels like it's been recycled from other films in this franchise. It can seem like it's all too familiar at times for those who have already seen Hatchet or Hatchet 2

Overall, Hatchet 3 was a good series overall. There were many gory moments, and there were several great performances by the cast.
